Ingredients
– 250g beef, thinly sliced – ribeye or flank are good choice – 1 baguette, sliced lengthways (don’t cut completely through) – 1 onion, chopped – 100g provolone (or a similar cheese that will melt), thinly sliced – Salt and pepper for seasoning
Method: 1. In a frying pan, add a splash of oil and sauté the onions for 5-7 minutes until softened.
Move the onions to one side of the pan and add the beef strips. Season with salt and pepper if needed, and cook for a few minutes until the beef is cooked to your liking.
Open the baguette and layer the cooked steak and onions, followed by the sliced cheese.
Place the assembled baguette on a tray and grill for 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve and enjoy!
