Ham and Bean Soup Recipe

INGREDIENTS 

▢2 medium carrots sliced into coins ▢2 ribs celery chopped ▢2 tbsp butter ▢1/2 tbsp onion minced ▢4 (15.5 oz) cans great northern beans rinsed and drained ▢4 c chicken broth low sodium ▢2 c cooked cubed ham ▢1/2 tsp minced garlic minced ▢1/4 tsp pepper ▢garlic salt (with parsley flakes) to taste ▢1 bay leaf

STEP-1

Use butter to sauté the carrots and celery in a large sauce pan until tender.

Add onion, beans, broth, ham, garlic, pepper, garlic salt and bay leaf to the pot.

Add in the sauteed carrots and celery.

STEP-4

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove the bay leaf before serving.
