Ingredients: – 4 large egg – 2/3 cup milk – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 8 thick slices bread (like Texas Toast) – 2 heaping cups crispy rice cereal or crushed corn flake
Instructions: 1. Preheat a griddle to 350 degrees F or heat a skillet over medium heat.
Add cereal to a shallow pie dish or plate. In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture on both sides, then press gently into the cereal, flipping to coat both sides.
Melt a small piece of butter in the skillet or griddle over medium heat (or grease with cooking spray).
Place the bread slices on the hot surface and cook for a few minutes until golden on the bottom, then flip and cook on the other side.
Serve warm with your favorite syrup.
