About Riverfront Plaza

Riverfront Plaza is one of Richmond's landmark properties and defines the downtown skyline. The construction of Riverfront Plaza began in early 1988 on the site of Richmond's old coffee mill. The site was also once used by the tobacco industry as an entry point to the James River, where barges would distribute their products.

Riverfront Plaza is one of the largest twin tower facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region, boasting two 22 story towers with 949,791 square feet of office and retail space, as well as 36,000 square feet of storage space. The property has 5 levels of underground parking which can accommodate all of the tenants' parking needs. Riverfront Plaza's population has grown to exceed 3,000 people.

Since opening its doors in 1990, the property has been maintained to a Class A standard. This includes amenities such as an eatery, onsite optician and optical center, private fitness center and a beautifully landscaped garden area that is available to tenant firms for private functions. Manned security is provided 24 hours, 7 days a week. Janitorial services are provided on a daily basis. The loading dock is a hub of activity, operating seven (7) bays to accommodate numerous deliveries every day.

Surrounding the facility is the beautiful and relaxing James River and attached Canal Walk, which operates a daily boat ride. There are numerous dining options within a short walk, offering lunch and dinner in the historic Shockoe Slip and Shockoe Bottom neighborhoods. Three Richmond parks (Brown's Island, Belle Island and Kanawha Plaza) hold Friday and weekend events as well as summer concerts, all within walking distance of Riverfront Plaza.

A short drive from Riverfront Plaza will place you in some of Virginia's most beautiful vacation spots, such as the Seashore State Beach, the Blue Ridge Mountains and Colonial Williamsburg.
